A letter to the consumer of food that smells of cat urine...

To whom it may concern:

I am all for eating at work. Even better is when you’re allowed to eat at your desk. Now I understand that there may be things that you bring in that have a strong smell, an odor if you will. But before I pack my lunch in the morning (when I do bring it) I take a whiff of whatever I’m bringing because I know that it will at least smell up the cafeteria. I leave things like Hamburger Helper at home. When you reheat it, it always smells like fish or something. I just try to think of those around me. So why is it that I don’t get treated with the same respect? I understand that food smells and that heat makes that smell strong. And if you had a nose, you would understand that too. I mean everyone has a nose, it's not optional and you rarely hear of people who can’t actually smell. So now that we’ve established A) Food smells and B) You have a working nose, why do you bring tuna fish into this office and eat it right next to me? I hate fish anyway however I can usually somewhat tolerate the smell. But when that stench is wafting over the cubicle wall and then settles itself right above my head, you just took this to a whole other level. That smell makes a home in my work space and lingers there, far past the point of your enjoyment while you’re eating it. Think about me! I am the victim of your stinky food! Not to mention whatever you brought in a few weeks ago that had this entire row reeking of cat piss. Honestly, what are you putting in your mouth that smells like cat piss?! I can not think of any man made meal that would create a smell like that. So please, for the sake of my nose, and my sanity, keep your nasty food where it belongs: in what I suspect is your nasty house.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter,

Your gaging neighbor
